Punjab Floods: Video Showing Muslim Men Wading Through Chest-Deep Water To Deliver Food Is From Bangladesh

A video showing Muslim men, identifiable by their skull caps, carrying food containers while wading through chest-deep floodwaters has gone viral on social media platforms, with users  claiming it depicts relief efforts during the recent Punjab floods.

• A reverse image search of keyframes led to Protidiner Bangladesh (Aug 25, 2024), which published the longer version of the clip. It reported that madrasa students were helping flood victims in Bangladesh. In this extended version, the men are heard speaking Bengali.
  
• The video was also uploaded by Ahlehadeeth Andolon Bangladesh on YouTube (Aug 26, 2024), identifying it as relief work in the country amid floods in Feni. 

• A Facebook post by Bangladeshi user Imran Husain (Aug 25, 2024) further stated that the video shows students of Munshirhat Darul Uloom Madrasa distributing food in Darbarpur Road, Munshirhat, Fulgazi, Feni.
  
• Careful examination of the clip reveals a hoarding with the name and logo of “Buro Bangladesh, Darbarpur Branch,” an NGO based in the country.

The video does not show Muslim men helping victims of Punjab floods. It is from Bangladesh where madrasa students provided food aid to their local community.
