A video showing two men escorting former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni as a crowd follows him is going viral on social media with the claim that the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star has been arrested in the UK.

A keyword search using terms like “MS Dhoni” and “UK arrest” yielded no credible news reports confirming any such incident.
A reverse image search on keyframes from the viral clip led to a YouTube video by DNA News, uploaded on July 16, 2022. The description clarified that the video showed Dhoni being cheered by fans in England.
The same footage was featured in an NDTV report from July 2022, which stated, “MS Dhoni is currently in England. The former Indian cricket team captain was recently seen watching the ODI between India and England along with Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh.”

Additionally, photos of Dhoni, Raina, and Harbhajan Singh attending the match at Lord’s Stadium had gone viral during that period, confirming the video’s 2022 context.
The video claiming that MS Dhoni was arrested in the UK is false. It is an old clip from 2022 showing Dhoni being surrounded by fans in England.
