Fact
Newschecker closely analysed the video, which revealed that the license plates of the fire engines began with ‘RJ’ which stood for Rajasthan. Furthermore, the firetrucks carried the branding, “Agnishaman seva, Rajasthan” (Fire fighting service, Rajasthan) raising our doubts.

We then split the video into several keyframes and conducted reverse image searches on them, which took us to several webpages sharing similar videos. One such video, which had a similar frame to that of the viral video, revealed that the video was from a blast in a chemical factory in Hanumangarh.
On conducting a keyword search, we were led to a Dainik Bhaskar report on May 9, 2025, which carried another video with the same frame, and reported that the fire took place in a chemical factory in Hanumangarh’s Rico area on May 9, 2025, which ended up killing two workers.

We then conducted a keyword search for the terms “हनुमानगढ़ आग” in Hindi on Facebook which threw up several reports by citizen journalism pages carrying the same video, reporting it to be from Hanumangarh and the cause of the incident to be a chemical factory fire. You can see such reports here, here and here.
We also came across a PIB fact check post calling out the misinformation.

Thus, we can conclude that the fire incident at a chemical factory in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh has been shared as fire at Udhampur airbase due to Pakistani attack.
