Video shows Amit Shah announcing an investment scheme during a rally.
Fact
The claim is false. The viral video is manipulated, and Amit Shah did not endorse or promote any investment scheme.
A video shared widely on social media allegedly shows Union Home Minister Amit Shah announcing an investment scheme for the general public while addressing a large crowd at a public rally.
A Google keyword search using phrases such as “Amit Shah financial opportunity rally” yielded no credible media reports, official announcements, or government press releases.
We also reviewed the official social media accounts of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Amit Shah, which were devoid of any mention of such an investment or financial scheme.
The original video shows the Home Minister addressing a political rally in Darbhanga, Bihar.
He appears in the same attire and background setup as seen in the viral clip.
However, after reviewing the entire speech, we found that Amit Shah did not mention or promote any investment scheme.

3. Manipulation Detected in the Viral Clip
On careful visual analysis, the lip-sync appears inconsistent in several segments of the viral video.
The lip movements look forced, and the lower jaw area appears smudged and blurred, indicating possible digital alteration.
We also ran the audio through Deepfake-o-meter and three out of five detectors flagged the voice as having a high probability of being AI-generated.
The Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU) of the TIA, of which Newschecker is a part, also ran the viral audio on Aurigin.ai, a Swiss deep-tech company with an advanced audio deepfake detection engine, classified the voice as “partially AI-generated”
The DAU also checked the video on Hive AI deepfake detector which found the presence of deepfake in certain frames.
