Satirical Deepfake Video Of Bill Clinton Talking About Epstein Client List Goes Viral

Former US president Bill Clinton releases a video statement ahead of the release of Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs and his contact list.

Newschecker noticed that the video has two separate text overlays reading, “meme/satire” and “drefanzor memes”, following which we traced the video to an X post by a parody account, drefanzor memes, on January 2, 2024. The account, which posts doctored videos as per its bio, clearly states that the video is satire.

Hive Moderation, an AI-content detection tool, found the video was “99.8% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content”. A Newsweek report, dated February 27, 2025, too, stated that a viral AI video, branded satirical, shows a fake former President Bill Clinton talking about the highly anticipated release of convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein’s client.
