Video Of Leopard Saving Her Cub From Crocodiles Is AI-Generated

A detailed analysis of the clip reveals multiple visual inconsistencies, strongly indicating that the footage is AI-generated. The shape of the dead animal carried by the leopard changes across frames, while the number of crocodiles fluctuates: three appear in one frame instead of the two seen earlier. In another instance, a crocodile’s head appears to morph into its tail, suggesting frame-level distortions commonly found in synthetic visuals.

To verify further, we processed a portion of the clip using Hive Moderation’s AI-detection tool, which returned a 99.9% likelihood that the media was AI-generated or deepfake in nature.

Additional checks of individual frames on WasItAI also confirmed that the stills were “quite confidently” created, at least in significant part, by AI.

We also noted a “Stranger Pet” watermark in the video. A YouTube channel by the same name had uploaded the clip on September 23, 2025, labelling it as “Altered or synthetic content.”
