Fact

Newschecker noticed the overly glossy texture of the image, suggesting that it could be AI-generated. We ran the image past Hive Moderation, an AI-image detection tool, which found the image to be “99.8% likely to contain AI-generated or deepfake content”.

Another tool, SightEngine, too, found the image to be 99% likely AI-generated.

Newschecker had earlier debunked a couple of AI-generated photos of Iyer with Verma in a swimming pool, amid the divorce proceedings between Verma and her former husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.
